What makes Carlina different from a tramway or a conventional metro?

Carlina is an elevated transport network made of lightweight autonomous pods. Unlike a tramway, it requires no ground footprint and can be installed in months, not years. Unlike a metro, it doesn't need costly tunnels. The system offers the granularity of a private car — a departure every minute, no waiting — combined with mass transit capacity.

How does AIDA technology work?

AIDA (Accurate Integrated Design Architecture) is a distributed control architecture developed by SEA, inherited from the aerospace industry. Each pod has its own embedded intelligence, coordinated by a central supervision system. This redundancy ensures aerospace-grade reliability and availability, with service continuity even if an individual component fails.

Is the system truly zero carbon?

Yes. Carlina pods are powered by supercapacitors, recharged at each station in seconds. No lithium batteries are used. Energy consumption is about 50 Wh per passenger-kilometer, equivalent to an e-bike. Tracks and vehicles are built from recyclable steel, minimizing environmental impact across the entire lifecycle.

How much does deploying a Carlina network cost?
